I guess it could be a scene from that dance. The school dance background from that episode was what I tried to go for anyway. I really liked that episode and I loved Sam's dress in it. I thought to draw it, but why stop there? I should draw Danny too. This was not especially easy since I'm pretty loosy at drawing men, let alone young teenaged boys.
Anyway, I didn't want to draw Danny Fenton. He just not as recognizable in a suit and tie as he is in his super hero costume. What's more, I love the Danny Phantom's costume way too much not to put in the extra effort required for me to pull off a drawing of a male character in a form fitting outfit. I even went as far as to put that "DP" on Danny's chest. It is out of sorts with the chronology of the TV series, but that cool insignia just screams to be drawn!
So I thought, 'What Sam and Danny Phantom dancing would look like?'.... Probably pretty darn cool, that's what! They, of course, would have stolen the show and would have been center stage, no less. Sam and Danny would be having a good time while ALL looked on stupified. Paulina would certainly be jealous. Poor Sam will probably pay for it later... but if you can really cut a rug together, why not be "seen hanging out with a Ghost Kid" ?
I was very much influenced by 's fan art with this peice. I not anywhere near her level yet when it comes to using the smug brush, but I try.
I would also like to thank Stephanie Shimerdla at [link] for the photoshop brush I used. This is a brush that mimics the look of fish netting. You'll see this on Sam's arms. Thank you Stephanie!! You allow me to be lazy and not have to make brushes myself!
I have to be doing something wrong or inefficiently when making brushes... I did not have much fun at all while making my own "lip" stamp for my "My Life As A Teenaged Robot" fanart. Stephanie's brushes look so much better than mine and she really makes creating them look so easy!
All in all, I'm pretty happy with how Sam's dress turned out in my attempt to give it a more real quality. Danny's okay too, though I think I messed up a bit on his face, as well as Sam. Plus the obvious stiffness of the arms and legs.
I dedicate this to my sister, , my partner in crime and always first out on the dance floor with me.

You have sent me to the bottom of the sea of insanity - you know, with the squid and the little fishies with the blinking lights and stuff? Yeah. This is your fault, jerk.
Paulina: (Sob sob sob) Why does SHE get the ghost? She's-----
Danny: alot less shallow, and a better dancer! (Turns to Sam) And cutter to boot.
Sam: Aww Danny, (Hugs him passionatly, the good kind)

Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
