This took about a year to finish, mostly due to the fact that I always have a million projects going on at once. Meh.
Anyway, when we vacationed down at Emerald Isle, NC last year, I was very much missing Kat. She had to go back to Cali. already and thus could not come along. Such a shame, if Kat were with me, we would have been starting all sorts of capers. Alas, I only had a two-year-old to go on capers with and so they were not nearly as large-scale and elaborate as I am used to.....
So I got to thinking that I wanted to draw something for my sister so that I would be distracted and to let my sister know that I wished she was there.
I don't remember all the details, but I was wondering how I could do something Code Lyoko, something that Kat would love, at a beach. The problem was that I could think of nothing spectacular. Then one day, my aunt said something to me that had nothing to do with the stream of thought that I was taking. Somehow though, it made me think of Aelita's star wristband. Then I thought, NO! This is a beach scene! A STARFISH wristband! "AUNT KATHY!! YOU'RE A GENIUS!!!" I shouted as I ran upstairs for me sketch book. Since she had not really said anything, she just happen to be in the same room and talking when the idea hit me, she was quite confused.
So I ran with the idea. If Aelita were on the beach, would it not be cool if she could bring Lyoko with her? I tried to replace everything about her Lyoko form that I could think of with a beach related object or Emerald Ilse related thing (this was an Emerald Ilse "wish you were here" picture, after all (thus the Henna tattoos on Aelita's arms instead of gloves).
See if you can't pick all the replacements out? ^.^ Okay?
Kat loves the Jeremie character, so he had to go in the picture too, of course! And so he too underwent the same replacement treatment, but not as intense as Aelita.
FOR YOU KAT!!! I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!! And I know that it is not dark enough with the shading, sorry. Can't work on this one any longer without going stir crazy ^.^;;;

Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.

How to get comments, watches, your work scene, commented on, critiqued, and what you have to do. These are some of the things which I have learned since joining more than 4 1/2 years ago.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
