Stay Grim

Next stop on Grim's World Tour, Long Island Convention and Voltaire concert! It was awesome!!
My sister, Kat and I were all excited that Voltaire was doing a Midnight Concert again, more fun than during "Prime Time", if you get my drift. We were wondering what songs he would sing.... Then we got the idea to bring out my old Grim costume that I used to sneak up on my identical twin at Fanime (she had no idea I was coming allllll the way out to California to see her and I had to stay hidden so no one would clue her off before I got right up to her). Now why would you wear a Grim costume at a Voltaire concert? Well, Voltaire wrote two songs for the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, so how awesome would it be for Voltaire if Grim showed up as a fan in the audience?
My sister and I camped out in the auditorium front row right after the Cosplay. Two hours later, it was so worth it!

I did not want to ruin the mystic of Grim for Voltaire, so I stayed in the costume way before Voltaire showed up and during the whole show. Why? Like Fanime, people were either disappointed or really freaked out when I took off the mask for a moment to breathe. Something about a Strawberry Blond girl under the death mask is unsettling, I guess. And this time, the fact that I looked just like the person standing next to me didn't help the mood when I unmasked either. It was much worse how freaked out people around me looked.... Maybe they were thinking, "Oh No! The Grim Reaper is everywhere!! Even in disguise!" Who knows.... At least I was warm inside that mask and avoided that freaky mood with the rest of the audience that piled in closer to showtime.

Voltaire saw me right away and told the whole house that Grim was there! I took a bow. I also waved my scythe around with enthusiasm whenever he mentioned me or made Cartoon Network references. Voltaire is such a good improve performer! He even "apologized" while singing on stage for the line in the song "When You're Evil"(after I threw down my scythe and pantomimed "Aww, shucks." ):
"When the devil is too busy... And Death's a bit too much..."
He even commented on liking how loud and enthusiastic my sister was singing. Kat loved that.
We stayed after to get pictures taken with him and Voltaire signed my scythe, "Stay Grim", thus the title of this deviation, and told me he thought my costume was awesome! Then I unmasked, to freak him out. I got a different reaction after the initial shock wore off in the room though.... Voltaire looked at my sister and I, made a HUGE smile and said,
"Twins?! Oh,... we need to take another picture."

Conclusion, it was so worth it to wear that bulky costume!!
